Ski school

To be able to work as an alpine ski or snowboard instructor in Andorra, it is necessary to have the corresponding title presented or approved by the Andorran Government through the Training School for Sports and Mountain Professions (EFPEM) and have the corresponding resident and work authorization.

Snow garden alpine ski technician training is also organized to be able to work in the snow gardens of the resorts.

In Andorra, the EFPEM (Training School for Sports and Mountain Professions) trains instructors and is the governing body that validates foreign qualifications.

The training of alpine skiing and snowboard instructors consists of an access test, a general phase, a specific phase and a practice phase for each of the 3 existing levels of training.

Alpine ski technician training in snow garden

The objective is to train professionals who will be in charge of introducing children to the world of snow. In many cases, a childʼs first contact with snow and skiing is through snow gardens, which is why it is important that these instructors are trained.

It is a training organized by the Sports and Mountain Professions Training School (EFPEM) and coordinated by Ski Andorra.

Requirements to present:
  • It is essential to be able to demonstrate a minimum ski level of elementary turning.
  • Have the first aid training.
  • The candidature must be submitted by the ski station.
Ski Andorra coordinates first aid certification for instructors who do not have the certification.
TRAINING PROGRAM:

Practical training: 3 days
Theoretical training: 7 hours of psychopedagogy.
